The United Church of Penacook, accessible from many major roads, is conveniently located in the center of the Village of Penacook at the corner of Merrimack Street and Community Drive. Parking lots behind the church can be entered from Community Drive and Canal Street. We are happy to share our facilities for both community and private functions. Rentals can be arranged for a one-time event or on a regular basis - daily, weekly, monthly, yearly.

Sanctuary
A traditional church sanctuary with rich colors, beautiful stained glass windows, stately woodwork, and high ceiling. Eleven rows of padded wooden pews divided by a center aisle easily accommodate up to 300 people.
A wheelchair ramp at the front entrance allows easy access to the Narthex (lobby) and Sanctuary. A rest room is available on this level.
This space is ideal for weddings, memorial or funeral services, musical rehearsals, recitals and concerts, conferences, and lectures.
No food or drink is allowed in this space. Bottled water is permitted.

Fellowship Hall
This open-space function room can accommodate up to 125 people for a sit-down dinner or 200 people with a meeting setup. Rental can include the adjoining full-service commercial kitchen. There is a small stage.
This space is ideal for receptions and social gatherings such birthday parties, showers, reunions, wedding receptions, and rehearsal dinners as well as large meetings, workshops, presentations, movies, fundraisers, and public suppers. Furniture can also be cleared away to make space for exercise or yoga classes.
Twelve eight-foot rectangular tables and two round tables with sufficient folding chairs are available to use at no extra cost.
Fellowship Hall is wheelchair-accessible, using a ramp from the parking lot directly behind the church.

Kitchen
Are you looking for a commercial kitchen? With a commercial size stove with six burners and two ovens complete with pots and pans? An 6x8 work island with stainless steel counter top. Dishwasher and double deep well sinks.
This kitchen has been approved for preparing food for sale to the public. This includes start up bakery and farmers market products.

A meeting space for up to 12 people on the mid-level has a large executive style table. A bathroom and a Children's Center are connected to this room.

Smoke-free Space
All spaces in the United Church of Penacook building are smoke-free, drug-free and alcohol-free..
Parking
On-site parking for 35 vehicles is available in two lots behind the church. Additional parking is available on Merrimack Street, Community Drive, and Canal Street.
Agreement, Fees and Deposits

- UCP is not responsible for the loss of or damage to property of the renting group or their guests.
- No smoking is permitted in any portion of the building. If smoking is done in the parking lot, you will provide can(s) of sand for cigarettes to be extinguished and the cans are to be taken with you for disposal.
- Alcoholic beverages including champagne are prohibited in or on church property.

- Supervision and clean up fees:
- $100 per floor of the building (3 floors = $300) ____;

- $25 will be returned after the event if (a) decorations are removed; (b) tables and chairs are replaced according to the diagram on the bulletin board in the Hall.
- $50 is non-refundable.
- Members and active non-members may choose to do their own cleaning and be reimbursed the $50 cleaning fee. Cleaning includes
- If using Fellowhip Hall, mop the floors of the hall, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms.
- If using the Sanctuary and Narthex, vacuum and pick up litter.
- Empty trash in all rooms used and remove trash from premises.
- Clean toilets and sinks in bathrooms used.
- Clean counters, sinks, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator, and any other part of the kitchen that was used.
- Building Supervisor: $10 per hour
- When needed, Building Monitors (minimum 4, at $10 per hour each
- The Kitchen Manager and a Property Commitee member will inspect the facilities and declare they are in good condition
- Deposit ($300) for unforeseen expenses such as extra hours (double pay), extra trash, washing table cloths, putting away dishes and kitchen equipment
- Building Supervisor
- A church building supervisor will be on site to take care of building and grounds emergencies. The charge is $10 per hour for the duration of the event.
- Key Deposit
- If a key is needed, there is a $50.00 deposit for non-members. Refund of deposit is made when the key is returned.
