    Food Pantry
The food pantry is open Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 AM year round. Each person coming to the pantry is allowed two bags of groceries every two weeks unless extra food is available or an emergency situation comes up.

In order to keep the food pantry going we are asking that non-perishable food and personal hygiene items be donated. All items must be in original packaging. Please check expiration dates on all donated items. Outdated items cannot be accepted.

All items donated are appreciated and can be left in the food pantry in the second floor Parlor. If you are uncertain what is in short supply, contact the pantry director through the church office at 753-4072. Some suggested items include:

    • canned vegetables
    • canned fruits
    • beef stew
    • canned meats, tuna
    • cereal
    • soups
    • rice
    • hot chocolate
    • powdered drinks
    • coffee, tea
    • Choice of non-perishables at the Pantryspaghetti and pasta
    • spaghetti sauce
    • mayonnaise
    • mustard, ketchup
    • baked beans
    • canned juice
    • baby food and cereal
    • personal hygiene items
    • toilet paper

In a 12-month period, 270 families were provided with non-perishable food, an average of 23 families per month. The total number of people for that same 12-month period was 561, an average of 47 people per month. It is estimated that donations from government programs, cash and food donations from the congregation, and food collected from the Scouting for Food effort amounted to $2500 for this 12-month period.

The annual rummage and bake sale held in September 2007 raised $427.82. $250 of that was given to the Food Pantry to restock the shelves. American Legion Post #31 also provided a generous donation of $250 for the pantry.

    Prison Card Ministry
Any type of card is accepted. "Thinking of You" cards are most needed. As you look through your cards or find a sale on boxed cards, please consider giving to this ministry. The Chaplaincy staff at the New Hampshire State Prison is trying to encourage the inmates to maintain their relationships with family and friends by providing them with greeting cards at no cost. The Chapel is the only source inmates have available within the prison to obtain greeting cards. Cards can be deposited year round at the Missions collection area in the Narthex.
