Sponsorship: United Church of Penacook is a proud sponsor of Cub Scout Pack 83 which is made up of five Dens: Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos 1 and Webelos 2. These Dens meet weekly on Friday at 6:00 PM.

Cub Scouts is for boys in first grade through fifth grade (7 to 10 years old). This is the first and the biggest of the three Scouting programs (Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing) from the Boy Scouts of America.

Cub Scouts of Pack 83 participate in numerous fun and educational activities. In addition, they provide services and support to local communities through food drives and clean-up projects.

• Resident Camp at Camp Carpenter
• Wannalancit District Day Camp
• Tour of Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum and Indian PowWow
• Scout night / overnighter at the NH Fishercats
• Glow Bowling Party at Boutwell's Bowling

2008 Activity: Highlights of the 2008 program included

• Pinewood Derby scheduled for March 15

Giving Back: The Cub Scouts do five Soup Kitchens a year, Scouting for Food, and Spring Clean-up.
